For those that have Vista and wish to update their firmware, here's a thought.
(I may update my phone again to try this myself).
Do the usual installation of the WM Mobile Center and the Samsung modem driver.
Before running the firmware file, right-click on the i900DXHG4 file, and select properties. On the General page, click UNBLOCK under Security.
Lastly Select the Compatibility tab, and place a check in 'Run this program in compatibility mode for and make sure you select Window XP (Service Pack 2).
Click Okay to save the settings for the file then Run it...
This may just get around the application crashing when run.
For those that are a bit hesitant to try, I tried last night several times updating on Vista. The firmware file itself crashed as it was attempting to connect to the Omnia, well before it started sending data to the unit.
Just a thought and hope that it helps some of you... :smile:
