For my case,

I hardreset, reinstall ActiveSync, delete all pairing, install the samsung driver (impt) and full charge to my Omnia.
I even deleted everything on My Storage so it is as good as new before I attempt to upgrade. Just leave it there and it will reboot on its own and you will see the familiar screen to align your screen.
I also remove my SD Card btw.

SIM Card should be okay.

Better to try it on a XP machine rather than Vista.

and i'd dare say that windows ALWAYS, yes ALWAYS, have problems whenever they release new s/w. back when they release XP, also many problems in the 1st 2 yrs. now vista is the same. :whistle: at least that's how i see it.

though i m using xp both at home n in office, my rom is DXHF1, i am not complaining n so far i do not have any problems like some bros here :grin:

Mine's still on DXHF1. Using Vista at home.

Maybe if want to upgrade ROM will look for a chance to do so on an XP machine.

Actually I do see some changes from F1 to G4 for my Omnia which I think it is worth upgrading.

Anyway, why change when things did not break? hehe....... I got itchy hands.. .keke

yes to me. funny thing is I managed to get a fix when I was at a park. Then I exited. The next morning, I got into my car at home and i could not get a fix , even after 20 mins. Can anyone advise what must be done?

Anyway, your omnia is still under warranty, so unless if you really screw it up, then bring it down to service centre lor... :whistle:
