this is a huge step backward if it's the case. AFAIK, A2DP is part of standard bluetooth stack provided by Microsoft, it's usually the less common BT service that's not available in the standard stack, and usually OEM dependent.

Are you sure your bluetooth headset supports A2DP?

u may wanna try touchpal from cootek. introduced to it by my friend using HTC. i find this to be a very good SIP.

Yes, they work.. but the resloution changes slightly.. Doesnt matter to me coz i dont use Landscape for typing coz then u cant see the whole message.

HTC Diamond Qwerty beats TOuchpal.. I used Cootek touchpal also. Very irritating on Omnia.. HTC Diamond Qwerty is a breezeee... :smartass:

Okay so where to begin...

Got my brand new 16gb white Omnia today and everything was going great. It came in version dhgx3 so i downloaded and installed G4 (I live in US though, but got the phone from singapore).

The phone worked GREAT after the rom update. After about 4 hours of fidgedting around - this is when it happened. I added spb and used a Diamond skin and was working on getting MMS/Text to work when....

All of a sudden, the phone option (as in not the entire phone, but the part of the phone that picks up networks, and makes calls, etc) becomes disabled and will not turn on. Wi-fi works fine, but the phone will not turn on.

I did like 7 hard resets, and no luck. I have no idea how to reflash so I've been looking very hard and found nothing.

Then things got weirder. I looked all around the phone for different options and have realized all previously stored networks are gone and now the phone cannot even detect the 16gb flash drive.

What the heck is going on? Can anyone help a very frustrated customer out?? How to reflash, or if anyone can relate/help in any way?

Hi People,

Appreciate if any kind souls/gurus can offer their advice.

Currently running on Rom version DXHG2. Did not install any aftermarket programs.

Problems Encountered during the past 1 mth of usage brandnew from M1.
a) After charging handphone, the screen turned black. Even touching or hitting on the phone/buttons, cannot revive the screen. I tried soft-reset also no use. I only managed to revive the screen is when i remove the battery and then everything as per normal

Sometimes there is No Ringtone/SMS tone causing me to miss my calls and SMS. I went to the "Sounds & Notifications" to check and tried playing the default settings ringtone, no sound. It will just vibrate even when i tried selecting the ring type as "Vibrate and Ring". Only after i soft-reset then everything is normal. But this problem haunts me quite a few times already

c) The GPRS keeps turning on even despite i have no programs running. I even end all the tasks but the GPRS keeps self-activating from time to time. I managed to save the unwanted cost by selecting other Telco operators so that it will not connect. But there is the irritating message keep prompting me "internet connection failure". I need to dismiss / cancel the msg but it comes and goes from time to time even when no programs are running.

d) There is also a Camera insufficient memory error msg sometimes i tried activating the camera. I checked that there are no programs running and Task Managers shows no programs running but still shows Insufficient Memory. I have to soft reset then the camera is able to work fine.

e) My friend using a nokiaphone cannot Bluetooth files to me even they can detect my phone in the bluetooth settings. The msg is "connection fail".Any idea?

Can anyone kindly offer any solution to the above mentioned?

Relax bro.. This is Omnia.. Treat it with some Love..

Ok, as for the network, try the Operator Settings which need to be set with Reginal Settings..

As for the 16gb, try this.. Go to you Connections > USB Connections and select Activesync and unplug your Omnia if connected to PC.. Check file explorer for 'My Storage'

bro, the point here is that my bluetooth supports A2DP.. Using the Samsung WEP200 which supports A2DP on my HTC Touch.. I could play my music using bluetooth with my Sony Music System.. With Omnia, I cant.. Hence, Omnia is the one who doesnt support A2DP.. But you can try other 3rd Party softwares which so far I am not come across for Omnia..

The problem with A2DP even though bluetooth device paired, see attached..
