Hi! This thread was started to as a directory of Singapore PIE (Pocket Internet Explorer) or Palm friendly Web sites for updated and useful information on the go. Please add to the list if you come across any useful pie friendly sites with local content.
Thanks to those who are contributing links. I will update this page whenever I can. I will test each link and only include those that, in my opinion, are 'PIE-friendly'. You can consider any Web site as 'pie friendly' so long as they require less bandwidth to load (limited or no graphics), present information in a clear & concised manner, and render well on a 320x240 screen in PIE. Thanks Firetrail for making this a sticky post!

Got this from Chee Wee during SARS. Now look like it is a good source for update on bird flu.

... but need to use AvantGo to create the channels of the forums you want to visit, I think.
thanks, but I'm not a big fan of AvantGo or any sync-now & read-later solutions. i prefer to stick with 100% browser only sites for info on the go. i found that i tend to pack too much data (i.e. kiasu

) with AvantGo and it slows down my ActiveSync sessions.
Maximum content size for the free Avantgo is around 1.3MB. If you update wirelessly via 'Avantgo Connect', the sync completes in 10 sec or less

!
Firetrail, you're referring to updating wirelessly at home, right? If i try this outdoors on GPRS, the sync will take me more than 10 seconds and 1.3MB will cost me S$7 per sync based on Singtel's rates !!
don't get me wrong, i think the syncing deal works very well in some situations, but for me, i just need that 100K/50cents worth of weather data sometimes.
btw, have you tried the WorldMate progam on your h4350 CD yet? it does a great job for weather forecasts and exchange rate updates.

Err.. AvantGo is just the mechanism to setup the channel. I just surf to the http link created to the pocketforums.
