Stupid me I miss out some letters in the string...
And ended up, my mini can't start any of the input methods...
lol...
Can't open programs too...

Unlucky I just backed up this afternoon...
And hard reset and copy, paste the string instead of typing it...

that's why sometimes program like tweak2k is better off than manually tweaking the registry

I install the program in storage card, no problem since it's only run once in a while, not everytim.e

Bro farbird,

Please refer to the first post again, where I have JUST added more sets of instructions to change other forms of input methods.

Remember to backup before trying, cos tweaks to modify input methods can have dire consequences if there are mistakes.

actually, for tweaks regarding input method (e.g. hiding or setting as default), i feel PocketTweak is much better cos it lists all the available SIP in the system. however for Tweaks2k2, it is a list of the known hacks. this is the same as doing it manually.

Tried Aficionado's method to change default to 'Letter Recogniser', but failed.
After soft-reset, whatever I click, the Mini would complain about low system memory, even when I didn't run anything in the background.

Hard to reset. :grin:

Anyone else faces the same problem?

Bro online,

Thats kinda unusual :confused:. I had tried this 'Letter Recogniser' tweak on more than 8 ppcs of various models, including my current mini, so I am more than sure that tweak works :wink:.

Are u sure u ran the correct modifications in your registry? :sowwy:

Perhaps u might be better off if u tried to download registry tweaking programs like:
1) Tweaks2K2 .NET for ARM & XScale by Tweaks2K2: (shareware)
- LINK: CLICK ME)



2) PocketTweak by Tillanosoft: (freeware)
- LINK: CLICK ME


I believe either of these will help revert your system's input method, should u encounter problems after SIP registry modifications = u might not have to hard-reset.

no such problem.. i changed mine to Block Recogniser easily....
