anyway, this is what i did (taking an example of creating a shortcut to the Today Items screen)
1) the shortcut is "21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,13"
2) I downloaded this library of icons (gpc.icons.exe) from the Web site above and placed it under my sd card \Storage Card\Pictures\icons folder
3) next i appended this "?\Storage Card\Pictures\icons\gpc.icons.exe,-21" to (1) above.
this means my resultant shortcut is "21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,13?\Storage Card\Pictures\icons\gpc.icons.exe,-21"

(the "-21" is the index of the icon i want to use)
4) I used claunch and add this file as a new shortcut

I find that this works for me. Not sure if i'm clear in my explanation. Do let me know if you need further clarifications.

I find that the link to the Phone settings (in Personal tab of settings), does not work correctly on my PPC phone, the T-Mobile (USA) MDA (HTC Wizard), running WM5.

At first glance it appears to work, it looks like the phone settings page opens up. But if you try to do anything with it, you notice problems.

For one thing, the first tab, called "Phone", is missing! If it does appear, when you click on it it disappears!

On the tab called "Services", I highlight "Caller ID", then click "Get Settings...". One should then see what your current Caller ID setting is, to show your number when you make a call or not, and you can change the setting from there. That works fine if I go to Phone Settings the normal way, via Settings, Personal, Phone. However, if I go to the page via the shortcut, I highlight "Caller ID", click "Get Settings...", and nothing happens, absolutely nothing.

In other words--the Phone settings dialog (Settings, Personal, Phone) works fine when you go there the normal way. But if you go there via the shortcut, one tab is missing, and other features don't work.

It's possible that this might be a WM5 thing, that the shortcut might work fine in WM2003. Anyone else tried it with WM5?

Does anyone have a fix for this, to get a shortcut for Phone settings that really works, in WM5?

How do I install the CicleBT software to my Atom? Is it as simple as dowloading the CAB file, putting it in my memory card, and somehow running it from my device?
Then will I have a shortcut to BT in my Start menu?

Hi there,

This was exactly what I was looking for... :grin:

I have just bought a Mio A701 and have a small problem with my BT-headset.
It's a cheap one from Touch, BeeHawk BTH788 which I bought at a discount drugstore.

My problem is I keep my headset in my car so it stays standby and charged.
When I enter my car I have to manually switch it to be used as handsfree in my Mio A701 Bluetooth Settings menu under Devices. (Tap and hold "BTH788" and set to handsfree)
With the following code I made a shortcut on my Todayscreen which I could tap so it jumps to Bluetooth Settings:

23#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,23,1

My question now is can I extend this code so it also automates the last part, setting my "BTH788" to handsfree.
I already tried the following code:

23#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,23,1,"BTH788",3

But nothing happened. It was just jumping to the BT-Settings tab.

Can somebody please help me out on this one...?! :confused:

Some of the shortcuts are device-specific. If you are sure you coded the shortcut file correctly and it still doesn't work, it probably means the link is not the same or not available for your device.
