This post is not new. It has been brought up a few times already in this forum but I thought THWI, I'm going to put it here in this thread for D900 users so they can be reminded of such a great resource available to them. Hey, I'm a D900 user (ok even though I'm using Exec, I prefer this thread  )
There might be something here that tickles your fancy and not only do you get the product free for life (including updates) but you can also get support for the software. More on this later.
What about changing the color on your Today screen top and bottom bars?
How about making your screen superbright than the normal? (note: this has be done with caution so read Vijay's simple steps carefully)
How about a cool spanking brand new Today Button?
The Pocket PC 2003 & 2005 OS appears to have a bug that can slow down the performance of a Pocket PC device, and can potentially cause ActiveSync delays. It has been identified that after every soft-reset of your device, a few extra "Notification Events" are added to the Notification Event Database on your system (This database holds system notifications such as alarms, timed events, etc.). After several soft-resets, a device can have several hundreds of extra notification events that can reduce the performance of a device.
CheckNotifications will remove these notification events, as well as the "IA_Caller_ID.exe" events from the Notification Event Database that seem to be duplicated on the Pocket PC phone-based devices. Only those events associated with the "RunAppAfterRestore" event status will be removed.
CheckNotifications also displays duplicate events on the main screen in a red color. You can remove these duplicate events by activating this feature in the "Settings" screen for the program, and then by tapping the "Clear" button. You can also delete individual events from the system database by doing a tap-n-hold on a displayed event and selecting "Delete" from the popup menu. Please be careful when deleting individual events manually, since deleting a needed event may cause problems with ActiveSync.
In summary, install this on your D900
You will need to install
(1) Check Notification - allows detection and manual removal of duplicate events
(2) Nofication Clear Fix - automatic removal of duplicate events at every soft reset
SPB Backup - A "down to earth" Review by bnycastro
SPB Backup Plus is the latest Backup tool to grace the PocketPCs. We already have Sprite Backup and Sunnysoft Backup both of which hold unto their own. Why Backup? Every D900 owners should invest in one backup software...maybe I'm the exception, I have all three You never know when something goes wrong and it's frustrating when you lose your data due to corrupted files, delete by mistake files, or suddenly your device hard resets for no reason. Added to the woes would be hours of re-installation and reconfiguration.. so why go through all the trouble..within 10 minutes you can get your D900 back to it's previous backup state. I make daily backups of my handheld (schedule to run every night after I go to bed) and in case of a hard reset, it will only take less than 10 minutes to bring my device back to the previous day's.
How good is SPB Backup? Is it simple to use? Does it do the job well?
Words taken to heart and even though I recycled a lot of info already made available on this forum, still for newbies like myself, I like to be able to access info in one thread
If you really mean what you say, you should start a new thread and put up the issues that are common to all in it. Issues like the review (you said it is for 900 but I see more that one device), Chinese, Notification, Vjaya555's software etc instead of speading them all over different threads.

That sounds good...but at the moment I'd like to be able to consolidate info on a smaller scale ie. for Atom, D900, and 818P. I'm getting my D900/Exec tomorrow and as a newbie, I would like to go to the D900 thread and bang bang bang bang, access as much info within the D900 thread as I can.
