I've just created and released a new PPC app for changing the system colors, e.g. system text color, etc.

SysColor Changer

However, some of the components may not work because they are no longer used by the system. If you spot the component which does not work, please post the find here. If everything fails to work, please post here and let me know the OS and device you are using.

I only have a WM2003 to test out the app, so there is a limit to what I can test. I assume that the app is able to support QVGA landscape mode and also square screen. If it doesn't, please let me know. Otherwise, I would love to see some screenshots of the app in landscape mode or in square screen.

I may also work on a new app for customising some of the WM5 theme colors which are not properly documented, e.g. color of flat bars, color of "OK" button, etc. More information of Pocket PC system and theme colors can be found here.

What's the difference between this application and the TdySchemeChanger application you also wrote?

TdyScheme Changer is for changing today scheme colors, i.e. those colors that can also be set in themes. SysColor Changer, on the other hand, is for setting system wide colors which will remain the same even after u change themes. I'll post some updated screenshots to illustrate my point soon. There will be a quick updated to version 0.1.1 with a minor fix by lunch time. The minor bug found in v0.1 does not affect the registry tweak though cos it's only a UI bug.

Alright....I've fixed the minor bug and released v0.1.1. I've also updated some of the screenshots to reflect the color changes done.

Tweaked the color of the buttons and scrollbars to white...

I love this black/white scheme and I think it would look cool if you are also using black based themes. :sowwy:

Hi Vicott,

Can this be installed into removable storage aka Storage card? Because I'm using the mini and requires occasional wifi, I'm not sure if the SysColor changer needs to be "around" all the time in order for the System color to work. Thanks! :smile:

Yes, this app can be installed anywhere. None of my apps run in the background all the time and neither are they required to run on start up, so there is no restriction.

BTW, SysColor Changer has been included into UI Tweaker (package of 4 apps). If there are any future updates, this thread will be the one to look out for.
