Hi all D810 owners, I am planning to upgrade my 818 pro to the D810. Just want to know a few things before I make the upgrade :

1. What is the battery life for standby and talktime ? Same as 818pro ?
2. Any noticeable lags whatsoever with the processor ?
3. GPS can be used anywhere, even indoors ?
4. What are the bundled accesories that comes with the package (and accessories that I should get) ?
5. Any major complaints ?

1. D810 Standby time: up to 250 hours & Talk time: up to 5 hours and 818 pro Standby time: up to 150-250 hours & Talk time: 3.5-5 hours to me both look the same
2. D810 processor is Samsung 400Mhz while 818pro processor is TI OMAP850 sometimes I use D810 it will have some lag
3. GPS can be used anywhere only in outfield and open area it can't detect when you are in indoor
4. 1 Unit of D810, 1x Earpieces, Battery, 2x Stylus, 1x Leather pouch and 1x User Manual
5. So far not much major complaints except that the processor will make the phone lag just get used to it just like me and also start menu will have some problem if your battery get hot and the start menu keep dropping down by itself especially you on GPS or camera for a long time this is what I observe other than that not much problem last be not least try to get your D810 white color rather then black cause the quality of the housing is glossy means that if you take black color you need to buy a silicon case to wrap around your phone due to fingerprint can be seen on black color whereelse white color can't see your fingerprint so is up to you to get which color your are comfortable with :grin:

Read that someone has tried the USB-1/8" headphone converter and found that the sound quality to be bad. I have the same bad experience for $19+ converter :-(

Does anyone know why that is so? The sound has lots of high frequency hums which do not exist in the bundled earpiece. Not sure if the bundled earpiece has additional circuitries to EQ the sound?

I noticed after the ROM upgrade, I seem to have more people complaining to me that they couldn't get through to me. I only put the phone in my pants pocket or pouch. don't know why... :confused:

Thanks cisco for the reply. I guess the issues with D810 are almost the same with 818pro when i first got it. I am gonna wait a while n see what other owners have to see :grin:

Hi all,

I posted this in the previous thread but have yet to receive a reply on my question, so I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I just would like to know if there's a way to stop the SIP from popping up on its own when I'm using Pocket Informant. When I'm entering the time for appointments or tasks, the SIP will appear and block the time field because the page doesn't scroll down automatically. It's nothing major, just kinda annoying. Hope someone has some suggestions for me. Thanks!

So far, i'm happy with my set.

Hardly lag... but then when i do a soft reset, i must make sure i turn off some of my plugins first. Else my CE star will not work coz i have a lot of plugins.

Other than this small booboo that was due to my over installation of today plugins. The rest is ok. (",)

hello fellos!
anyone here knows how to change the startup screen and start up sound for our very D810?
I was able to do it last time on my smartphone but I already forgot which registry to tweak.
I hope it is also possible in our Dopod. :cool:

does this model d810 have more prob than the 818 pro? coz i have a friend thinking of getting one so considering which model to go for...

dopod often have probs, is this brand not so good? i have a 818 pro but no prob so far, but heard that many others have this and that prob.... :confused:
