I just got my D810 last saturday, even though I have a perfectly working 838PRO... reason is that this unit has a in built GPS and I am a gadget freak....

Got the GPS thingy working, just by following instructions on malsingmap.com. Compared the GPS position on the phone with a professional GPS unit and noted that the position displayed on the phone is very very close to the standalone GPS unit, difference is only seconds.

Was on a boat yesterday, and could see my position relative to various southern islands and getting accurate position fixes. Now still learning how to use the software and very happy with the phone. Small hitch is that sometimes the GPS proxy don't boot up and I have to softboot the phone to get the GPS working.

Hey gurus... i Active sync some excel files on my D810 with my PC... was wondering whether if I move the files to my mini SD card, can they be synced as well? many thanks

Dont think it will unless you have some program that will sync the items in your SD card.

I using MapKing R12 as my GPS Navigation Map. I go to GPS Status and try to get a GPS Fix but nothing happen. Anyone know what i need do install to get the GPS to work?

For your inform, I have the latest Firmware 1.23.707.6. So what i need to do next?

Sorry, read wrongly the question! As the previous member mentioned, no, the files will not be synced unless you have indicated yr preference in the active sync program to sync files i.e. those under yr folder "MY DOCUMENTS"!

Hi Bro,
Did you try to get a fix in the open air or indoors? You need to walk out into the open to get a fix! If you are driving, I can also get a fix from my driving position with the device on my Dicota car holder attached to the windscreen.

Hi bros,

I've some photos inside my storage card\my documents\my pictures but when i went on to settings>today to set my wallpaper, the photos from my storage card are not shown. My O2 mini is able to see it but I'm not sure why it doesn't show in the D810. Do I need to tweak the registry of the D810 too?
