Finallly manage to reslove the problem......let me explain to those using D810 with i-tech clip radio.
1) clear wat ever you have pair earlier on....
2) re-pair the blue tooth
3) once re-pair successfully with the bluetooth sort reset the D810
4) switch on the i-tech clip radio first then switch on D810 bluetooth
5) press on the MFB and hold for 1-2sec......
6) you will see the bluetooth sign (after about 2 - 5 secs) on the top beside the 3G logo.......then it will went off....but the bluetooth is link up...

just bought d810 yest.. so far v happy with it and sepnt time enabling the lunar calender, syncing with my PC... so far find it very stable and faster than atom that I have tried.
May I ask a few questions?
1. I know there is GPS... but how to find it?
2. What options are there in using the GPS functions? any freeware or shareware needed to d/l?
Apologies if these questions have been answered before... but I cant find it after searching...

gps is built in. just need to download latest firmware from dopod website. and it will work.
but u need get a map software yourself like mapking etc.

mapking is a 3rd party map sw lor....malsing etc are other alternatives. do a search on google and u will find aplenty.

personally, i m using mapking and it is good. just that no blocks, only street addresses etc.

I think I have some more questions... maybe consolidate and ask ..Please bear with me...
1. I know there is GPS... but how to find it? I am already on the latest ROM version
2. What options are there in using the GPS functions? any freeware or shareware needed to d/l? What does mapking do? and after mapking, need maps also? very confused.
3. My office is using a proxy server(eg.proxy.xxxx.com.sg), so when I sync with office PC...the IE will have a proxy server in it, but when I go home to use my wifi, it does not open up the page anymore cos my home not supposed to use proxy server. Do I have to manually remove the proxy server everytime I use home wifi/wireless@sg etc? or is there a more convenient way?
4. How can i set it such that I only use wifi and not 3.5G to surf? Wan to haev more control of my bills... so how to not let it autoconnect to 3G/Gprs whenever wifi not available? (will only activate it when really critical and need a connection regardless of cost)

Hi all, I am planning to get D810, I just need to confirm one feature - during sms can the font be change to bigger size. I do not want to remove my specs in order to read text....<vain>

I find Samsung extra big font suit me fine...hope D810 is changeable.

gt1122...it is not sightable. there is no configuration icon.
configuration is done via the map software.
basically, i think the GPS will start to work once 3 effective satellites are secured. the firmware is onie to enable the gps function, the map software is the one that contains all the maps for the d810 to show lor. and also all the voiceovers etc.

for wifi, u need to enable wifi and connect successfully before u surf. if u surf without anything, it will by default connect via your GPRS/3G/3.5G etc.

U cant find it unless u tweak the registry to get the icon to be shown in your ppc. The easiers way is to use tweak2k2 to enable the GPS icon.

I personnally using mapking 2007. Mapking is a 3rd party shareware s/w that provide tracking of location using the satellite. However, u need a map to use it too. I have tried it on singapore map, and have tried malaysia map too. So far is very accurate and the realtime is about 2 secs delay.

But i understand from some users that use Garmin which is a freeware for the software only (Not the map).

As for the map, they use malsingmaps which is free. So conbine the 2 that give u some free stuff for your GPS to use. (",)

Go to start>setting>connection>connections>advanced>select networks

for "program that automatically connect to the internet should connect using:"

Select "My work Network". Pls ensure that "My work network" is an empty setting.
