As mentioned, today i had my fone compared with E61i from my colleague since it looks like i600 has the praises all the time.I decided to try out the "Internet Explorer" of E61i and entered www.ebay.com.sg in the address column..
To my surprise, the E61i can open multiple websites windows, not just only one window if compared with i600 (dont think i600 is capable to do that). Most importantly, It didnt miss out any of the links with "moving" pictures. In fact, it actually shows the entire page of the website which is almost exactly the same of like a computer. My IE seems to be the shrink reduced content explorer. Try comparing with E61i and the difference is obvious.
I still like my i600 alot, but does anyone know why is there a difference in the Internet explorer when browsing? Is it because our fone doesnt have in built software that supports "MACROMEDIA FLASH" & "JAVA"? If it is so, I thought that Windows should be a strong contender to Symbian, why is there such a difference?
Hope to see some help.... Thanks

i tried copying a 1+mb wmv but the playback is very laggy.
anybody out there tried before?
Do not convert to .wmv as this format uses a lot of resource. I will convert to .avi and use tcpmp to playback. no jerkiness compared to .wmv.
you can try using SUPER to convert. Just google it.

1. Look in your phone's folder: "\Application Data\Home" for the file: BlackJackType1.home.xml
2. Copy it to your computer and open with Notepad
3. Look for the line: <color name="COLOR_MENUTEXT" value="#FF0042" />
4. Replace with: <color name="COLOR_MENUTEXT" value="#000000" />
5. Save and copy back to your phone (overwrite the existing one). Remember to backup the original file first, in case you need again.
Hi, error encountered.
"Cannot copy BlackJackType1.home: Access is denied
Make sure your mobile device has sufficient memory, that the file is not set as read only, & that u have permission to copy this file type"
I'm able to copy back to the phone to other directory but NOT \Application Data\Home
Pls advise...

Yes, I attend the training session, when they mentioned free, to me that comes free with license. Otherwise, it would be called as, we install Pocket MSN for those attending the training.
Pocket MSN comes free for those attending the training session, means the software is given free.
I still am holding Samsung to this statement, hope to get a reply soon.

Hmm.. I'm not sure what's happening here. Could be I'm using Vista and syncing through Windows Mobile Device Center that I'm able to overwrite it.
Why don't you try renaming it and copying over since you can't overwrite. That way, you would be able to choose the modified version.

Thanks for the reply.
(1) How do i actually have the same windows content like my PC? And if let's say i wish to have those "moving" pictures to actually appear, what steps can be done? Downloading Flash 7 into the fone?
(2) You also mentioned that you used tcpmp to do avi playback. Is it a third party application? Where can it be found?
(3) What do you think are necessary programs for the fone? Can u share what you have installed?
(4) I was wondering if GPS programs (Mapking and Tomtom) can be installed on the fone as well? Will it work?
Thanks for sharing.

google TCPMP. It is a free software. The best PPC video player I might say.
Besides TCPMP, I have newsbreak, a rss reader and PHM registry editor.
I've tried to install Mapking but it cannot be installed. Without touchscreen, I also wonder how to use mapking.
