I dont know if u guys experienced this problem, the GPRS seemed to connect on and off at times. It is pretty annoyinh. For instance if i lost connection on my WIFI for awhile (running msn at the same time), it will switch to GPRS. THe next thing i knew when a new hotmail email comes in, i can see both wifi and gprs are on.

I think i may not be the first who faced the GPRS problem. Anyway to complete shut down the GPRS? Or required any autentication befrore using GPRS. I do not want to constantly check on my fone on the network connection. Pls advise :confused:

I think you can delete all the connection settings in start-settings-connections-gprs to totally disable GPRS .hope it works :)

I did not delete but try to change the settings like a non-existence server, IP, etc... still cannot disable GPRS. I may occasionally use GPRS, so I want to have the option to enable/disable it.

Same too, i didnt want to delete the gprs, u never know when u need to use it.
My fone just switched to gprs on my msn again, as there was limited connectivity from my wifi. Hmm, THe Wifi connection is really tricky, and just hope that there is solution to it.

Well, I too was first annoyed with the behaviour but eventually found it useful in the even that I had 'forgotten' to put my phone to silent or vibrate mode before a meeting. The slightly lower volume of the initial rings help me quickly silence my phone without too much disturbance to the meeting in progress.

I then switched the ring tone to the "Vibrate then Ring" settings as the first initial incoming ringing will be set to Vibrate and then ring the FULL volume on the second rings.

So, the Vibrate then Ring may be a solution for you to hear the full volume of the ring tone.

just got my i600...love the phone so far. I just wanna learn how to use the phone to the fullest. At the moment i'm still trying to figure out if i can change the ringtone to an mp3 ringtone. Anybody got any ideas? Or can it just not be done at all.

you can go and download Skype beta for smartphones and Advantgo too..

I just checked skype and they release skype mobile 2.2. no more beta. and... i600 is no longer supported. :confused:
