Hi folks,

I just got my Dual a few days ago and so far its been good for me.

The only gripe I have now is the SingTel animated display at bootup, the one with the red hearts flying...

Anybody know how to get rid of that, or change that?

In my Tytn II, it will just display a very simple & cool animated HTC logo, much nicer.

Yup bro, you just need a gif sized 240x320 logo and place in \windows.
The file name is so:
startup_240x320.gif

have attached the file.

Have a 8gb class 4 micro SDHC in mine. And its been working well for the last 20 hours

Thanks for the info bro. But the existing file seems to be write-protected, so I can't overwrite it. Any idea how to change that property?

Ok I downloaded a trial version of Resco Explorer to change the read-only attribute of the file. But now it prompts that the file is stored in the ROM and might cause damage to overwrite.

Is it safe to overwrite?

yup it is safe.

incidentally to change file attributes, you can use the pc to change it, not necessary to download resco for this purpose only, though i really like resco file explorer.
