Samsung's sucessor to the Ultra Messaging i600, the i780, has changed status on UK's Samsung Mobile website from "coming soon" to "latest".

This phone is predicted to be available in Jan'08, should reach SG in Feb'08.

Actually, thatr's not the exciting part. It would be more interesting to know whether the rumoured 256MB RAM is true. However, the review seems to indicate only 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM.

I was actually disappointed by its small font size in i600. Hope Samsung has improved on this. Its design & light weigh feature is amazing.

This looks good, comes with GPS too. But I think the touchpad needs some getting used to.

Hi Vicott, believe it is a 128MB ROM. Cos' there aren't any devices with a 256MB. Anyway, the Mobile-review also have a photo of its memory size. I'm eyeing this phone too. Think will wait till it release.

Another possible problem is the 320x320 square screen which might have compatibility issue with 3rd party-software. But the screen is definitely brilliant, probably one of the best u k see in any WM phone

Any news abt local availability?

Hmm, mobile-review says most of the softwares they tried have no problem with it.
