me just brought the i780. one hand typing is posible. camera is abit off standard. the mouse is quite ok, but can't perform like a stylus (press and hold for extra options). taking out the batt cover is very difficult, until now didn't manage to take out the batt.
btw guys, just wondering, how to format the memory card in i780?
Hi G4,
Wrath suggested a reallygood way to open up the batt cover in the 1st official i780 thread - I've been using it since:

It cover can be opened much like the i600.
Cup the phone in your left hand with the LCD facing your palm. With your right hand, place the palm on the battery cover and the 4 fingers over the bottom edge of the phone and jerk upwards, the motion is like closing your right hand into a fist.
The trick is instead of using a smooth motion, use a sudden jerk with your right hand, snap instead of push.
when you say no comparison, is it just the initial connection time... or throughout the use of gps in vehicle?
another question, how to i transfer my old calender and task datas from my 02atom using WM5 to the new i780 which i think i'm buying very very soon.... thanks
I meant the initial connection. But after that it gets better.
If you are using activesync and outlook for your atom, just use it again to sync the data to your new phone which is what I did.

Anybody knows how to view only contacts stored on the phone, but not on SIM? Can't seemed to find the function. For the previous Palm 500v running on WM6 Standard, it was surprisingly found under one of the items under network settings. Thanks!
There's a promotion in town at Chervon House (just above Raffles Place MRT, across OUB Plaza) - its the base price @ $828, but it comes with 4Gb Micro SD card, a bluetooth earpiece, and in-car phone charger.
