Let me explain:
#1 The Clip D-R with BT 2.1 once paired with the Samsung SGH-i780 will be able to auto-connect and be ready for action once their BT are both switched on. Less hassle to get into action as a gadget couple.
#2 The Samsung SGH-i780 with its powerful 624 Mhz processor and ample 128 MB Ram was able to competently stream Online Radio using WiFi and simultaneously use Bluetooth to transmit it wirelessly in digital stereo to the iTech Clip D-R. The digital radio music stream is simply exhilarating. Very clear stereo, no jerks, no stoppages or lags thanks to i780's powerful Marvel (Intel) processor. The connection is very strong. POWER TO THE WM PHONE!!!
Steps:
1. Switch ON Both the WiFi and Bluetooth on the i780. The i780 shld connect automatically to your home Broadband WiFi Network.
2. Switch ON the Clip D-R. It will auto-connect with the i780.
3. Start Pocket IE, and key in url address: http://www.talkstrea...ying&category=4 (if first time you stream). You can set it as favorite.
4. Select the online radio music category you like : Oldies, 80s, Jazz, Rock etc. Tap on selection and it will download the asx file and your i780's WMP will start, press the "play" soft button to stream.
5. Just press the "play" hard button on the Clip D-R, and VOILA - lovely digital music will stream via 2dp to your earphones almost instantly.
When a phone call comes to your i780, the music will pause. The Clip D-R will beep and the ringtone can be heard. Answer the call by pressing the MFB button on the Clip D-R. To end the call, press the Clip D-R's MFB button, then the online radio music will continue streaming again.... :whistle:
Another great thing about this pair is that you are not shackled to your phone, you can still walk around, goto kitchen get a drink, read book or newspaper, do homework, cook your dinner etc.
Listening to live online radio is really good as there are no interferences unlike FM. The music quality is always very good.
The i780 - WiFi, BT and Phone all working together simultaneously and smoothly together, it is a dream come true! Try and see to believe!
Don't worry about battery life as i780 has good battery life, has been enjoying this great streamed music more than half hour already as I type this report. Anyway this will still work even when your i780 is charging at a wall socket. You are still connected wirelessly to the phone as the BT range is 10 metres.
Of course if you are outside at internet cafe or Wifi hotspots you can also enjoy this. Just bring along your i780 and Clip D-R will do.
