Just came back from visiting the Southern Ridge Park in Singapore :grin: It now runs all the way from Kent Ridge to Mount Faber. It was opened by PM Lee officially this morning. The Alexander Arch Bridge, Forest Walk and Henderson Wave Bridge was really a great experience worth visiting. See photos I took with my louya iPAQ 6818 camera of the Forest Walk and Henderson Wave Bridge. The weather today was superb today for such walk, overcast sky, windy but no rain.

Henderson Wave Bridge is beautiful, can even relax and sleep on this wooden bridge. It is very windy and cooling.

Forest Walk was spectacular and very long, about 1 km. Bridge, platform is made of galvanised mild steel pillars and past by many tree tops

Along the Treetop Forest Walk, there are plaques explaining what tree you are passing nearby, the name of the tree and what are its uses, qualities etc. This is the photo I took of the beautiful "saga seed" legume tree that I passed.

Photo of the Henderson Wave Bridge by Channelnewsasia. It is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore and its design is very unique.

The Alexandra Arch Pedestrian Bridge linking Hort Park and Forest Walk is also very unique with special color lighting at night. The bridge spans across Alexandra road and creates an optical illusion that it is tilted to one side, but when you are on the bridge it is not tilted. Picture below by mkos

Goto --->Harbour Front MRT and climb up the newly re-conditioned scenic Malang Trail to Mount Faber, past the Cable Car station/Jewel Box and proceed from there. :grin: But follow the signboards/signs properly. The whole trail is 9 km long but you can stop halfway if cannot take it anymore.

I've been following the Southern Ridges project for a few years.

Unfortunately, the official opening of the bridges was not made public and I couldn't take the photos.
