I have the opportunity to test drive the Samsung i900 for the next few days. First impression of the device, feels good in my hands as it is not too wide. The gorgeous 400x240 TFT screen is amazingly clear and sharp, the response of the device is equally good and it comes with a premium feel. More to come on the device.

Watch this space as PPCSG reviews the Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia. Interestingly the word "Omnia" is taken from the New Testament in the Bible, in Latin it means, “all things pure.” I am interested to know what is Samsung's take on this.

So what is under the hood of this premium looking Windows Mobile Professional device, this Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional device features a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, it has a built-in accelerometer called 'Motion Sensor' (it helps to determine when to tilt the screen from either portrait to landscape mode or vice versa), it also comes with a light sensor to measure the intensity of the backlight for your device in different lighting environment.
It has WiFi & a GPS module, proprietary USB Port for charging, Active Sync and Ear phones. It has Bluetooth 2.0, and a unique 3.2-inch 400 x 240 resolution display and a 5-mega(did I just hear you go Wow!) pixel camera (with smile detection and geo-tagging plus a LED flash!). There are two storage capacity to select from, a whopping 16GB version and a not to small 8GB Flash memory and that is not all, besides the mega built in flash storage Samsung decided to please all the power users by adding a storage card slot for MicroSD cards, sweet!
Also Samsung has outdone themselves to include a built in FM tuner for those who prefers listening to the radio than on their built in media player.
