Exactly!!! Contradicting... Very contradicting...
I really don't understand why create a device with Quadband GSM Voice but just one band for high speed data?
I'm really looking forward on this device and not precisely attached to a carrier, it they sell an unbranded/unsubsidized worldwide version then I'm there!
The countdown starts tomorrow!!!! Whoo hoo! :w00t:
Cheers!

Great video!
Demonstrates almost everything I wanted to see.
Seems to be working much faster than HTC Touch Diamond.
(Which BTW I didn't like so much, and wrote about it in my MobileSpoon blog - and by doing so, I received so many angry comments/mails complaining that I'm an iPhone secret agent blogging about Windows Mobile devices...)
One comment: Having no hardware button connected to the OK button is a problem with any Windows Mobile device, because the OK button is not finger friendly, and the location is problematic, I said it in the past, and I still think it's a problem - as can be shown in the video (the presenter is trying to click it few times till it actually works...)
Other than that - it looks like it could be my next Windows Mobile device.

one comment though, i dont really like the 'cartoony' icons.. but the lack of lag
and the camera is VERY tempting!

Looks to be the perfect phone ... way more pocketable den the Cruise which I sold off awhile back. Anyone can advice on the 'loudness' of the speaker? This is the one thing that will make or break my decision .... I pray Samsung will deliver something loud for once.
*On a side note, what's the name of the tune playin in the background?

I don't think any UI or OS for that matter, will come close to the iPhone. If you are on Mac, you will realise/notice that the response on the iPhone is identical ... smooth and instantaneous. I think a phone is much more than a good UI/OS which is why my iPhone is almost always an iPod ... never my primary phone.
One can only wonder if the Omnia comes with a ^VGA screen ... :w00t:

Yup, agreed that HTC don't look as good as the hype. Played with one during the PC fair and must say the current illegal version iphone or Itouch still give better UI experience.
Hope the i900 is better... judging from the videos, the experience looked better... if not at least most of the specs are better than the Diamond.
Fingers crossed.

I'm sick and tired of this $hit... Have you actually used Windows Mobile? (I don't think so)... :brooding:
Let's be honest here and accept the fact that Windows Mobile (no matter which hardware runs on) is much robust, complete, fun, modifiable, customized, open, corporate to use than any other platform.
Iphone is cool for a few days, but just as OSX, it eventually gets pretty boring, no cool apps (just a couple), no real enterprise integration (not even iPhone 2) since it still doesn't support even the most basic functions like copy/paste, video recording, wireless transfers via Bluetooth, A2DP (if you know what that is), and the list goes on and on...
Believe me, I had a hacked-like-there's-no-tomorrow iPhone, and after a few months with it, it bored me to death.
<end rant>
